Mr. Karl Detlef Feddersen established K.D. Feddersen & Co. in Hamburg, Germany. Initially, the company focused on the business and trade of chemical products.
The company acquired Norddeutsche Ueberseegesellschaft in Hamburg, a trading firm specializing in technical products.
Recognizing the potential of a new material, Mr. Feddersen decided to expand the product portfolio by incorporating the plastics industry into the company's business operations. This was a strategic decision that played a vital role in the group's subsequent growth.
Following the passing of founder Karl Detlef Feddersen, the K.D. Feddersen Foundation (which he established) became the sole owner of the group, embodying the company's commitment to social responsibility.
